Home Affairs Urges Illegal Zimbabweans To Use Amnesty
The Department of Home Affairs has called on Zimbabweans in the country illegally to make use of the current amnesty to get their papers in order.

The south African government recently reached an accord with the Zimbabwean authorities to allow Zimbabweans to sort out their paperwork in the country without the threat of deportation.
The department of Home Affairs will on Monday begin a three month documentation and amnesty drive.
Departmental spokesperson Ronnie Mamoepa said :” We reiterate our commitment to extending amnesty to all those who have fraudulent South African ID’s on condition they hand them back to home affairs”.
Last week the government rubbished a suggestion by Zimbabwe’s Movement for Democratic Change that illegal Zimbabweans be granted South African citizenship.
