Kuwaza Named ZIMRA Chairman
Harare — Finance Minister Tendai Biti has announced Mr Charles Kuwaza's appointment as the new chairperson of the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority board.
Harare — Finance Minister Tendai Biti has announced Mr Charles Kuwaza's appointment as the new chairperson of the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority board.
Mr Kuwaza, whose term runs for three years, replaces Dr Gibson Mandishona.
In a Government Gazette published last Friday, Minister Biti said the appointment was made in terms of Section5(1) of the Zimra Act and is with effect from August 27, 2010.
Other board members are the Permanent Secretary for Finance Mr Willard Manungo who is an ex-officio member.
Harare lawyer Mr Sternford Moyo, a senior partner at Scanlen and Holderness law firm, is one of seven board members, along with Mr Maxwell Mangoro, Mrs Nompumelelo Abu-Basuthu and Mr Ranga Munyaradzi.
"Any person who wishes to make representations relating to the application is invited to lodge such representation with the Registrar of Labour, Private Bag 7707, Causeway, Harare, within 30 days of the publication of this notice and state whether or not she wishes to appear in support of such representations at any accreditation proceedings," read the notice.
