A mother of six reported to have fled the family home to take up with her son's 18-year-old friend was branded a "disgrace" by her former partner.

Debbie Mallinson, 36, left her council home in Falmouth, Cornwall to move in with teenager Adam Caban after an emotional scene, the Sun reported.

Her eldest sons, aged 15 and 10, are living with relatives while her other offspring are in foster care, it was claimed

Ms Mallinson's ex-partner, who did not want to be named, told the paper she was a "disgrace". He added: "She falls in love more often than she gives birth."

Ms Mallison's oldest son is said to have discovered her on the phone telling Mr Caban, his close friend, that she loved him.

Before she left, Ms Mallinson told her children: "I can't help who I fall in love with," the Sun said.

Ms Mallinson, who is said to have "sprinted down the front path" into a waiting cab, has not commented on the episode.

Mr Caban's mother told the Sun: "He's 18 and can do what he likes. They're just friends anyway."
