New Dawn's Turk Mine increase gold production

Ian R. Saunders, President and CEO of New Dawn Mining Corp. (TSX: ND & Frankfurt: 3DM) reported that gold production at New Dawn's Turk Mine in Zimbabwe during the month of June 2009 increased to 937 ounces or 29.15 kg's. Gold production at the Turk Mine for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 was 2,685 ounces or 83.5 kg's.

During the month of June 2009, New Dawn hired an additional 55 miners as part of a continuing program to increase output at Turk Mine. During the quarter ended June 30, 2009, New Dawn hired a total of 166 additional miners at Turk Mine, bringing the total work force there to 772 miners and growing.

"With production just having resumed in April of this year, we have successfully increased our output month after month, while also aggressively hiring new miners to further increase production in the coming months. Our new hires are an important component of this effort to increase production, and we are pleased to report their training is progressing very well," reported Ian R. Saunders, President and CEO. "I am also pleased to report we are well on our way to achieving our primary objective of reaching monthly gold production of 1,200 ounces by October/November 2009 and, in turn, being able to fund our 2009-2010 Zimbabwe exploration programs from our operating cash flow."
