Shock as 25 year-old man marries woman (51)
A 25-year-old Bulawayo man has shocked residents in Sizinda suburb after tying the knot with a 51 year old woman, old enough to be his mother.
Mandla Mlauzi wedded a woman only identified as Sympathy on December 15 at Sizinda Hall aty a ceremony attended by scores of residents to witness the unusual event. The new Mrs Mlauzi, interestingly, has a son and a daughter who are all older than Mlauzi. His mother has welcomed the new daughter-in-law who owns a fleet of commuter omnibuses in Bulawayo.
Sympathy vowed that her new marriage is not going to be destroyed by jealousy people.
“It’s surprising that residents are just making noise but in America such marriages are normal. We married because we are in love,” she said. Mlauzi is reportedly in South Africa for a couple of days on business.
But the kombi drivers have resigned in protest over the new boss, a 25-year old Mlauzi.
“People should just mind their own business. What we do in our home is no-one’s business. We went through all the necessary procedures before getting married. Both families supported us,” said Sympathy.
The ageing woman said her children did not mind her new marriage.
