I would rather be a stooge of the western world than a stooge of a simple, bitter, disgruntled, unqualified, politically inexperienced and misguided editor of a newspaper tabloid.
President Michael Chilufya Sata should definitely be the last person on earth to call Zimbabwe’s MDC president Morgan Tsvangirai a stooge of the west, if at all he ever did, when he is the stooge of a simple editor of a newspaper in Zambia. For that matter as a president of a nation who is told for example who to appoint, fire, who to honour and not to. He is basically told what to do, how can he call his friend a stooge? Can he deny that when he wanted to appoint Xavier Chungu for example as permanent secretary, against his master’s wish, he was strongly ordered to rescind his decision and he did with no time?
How can Sata boast against Morgan when everyone knows in Zambia that his presidency has been hijacked by a simple editor of a newspaper to an extent where he is even forced to honour his adversary the late president Mwanawasa by calling both the newly constructed stadium in Ndola and Lusaka hospital after him while he is strongly ordered to ignore the late president Chiluba and persecute former president Rupiah Banda for refusing to obey the orders of the editor while they were presidents, like late Mwanawasa did and Michael Sata is doing.

We all know that Sata cannot easily forgive late Mwanawasa for the way he was persecuted, humiliated and even get locked up in police cells several times, when he is busy looking for the head of Rupiah Banda who has done him no wrong to deliver to his master, the mighty editor. Apart from RB Sata has also clearly ignored and fails to forgive late FJT who didn’t just tolerated him, but also gave him big appointments that he didn’t qualify for and also made pf the party it has become today. So Sata must honestly be the last one to call others stooges.
At the same time, Sata being our president and not a boss of a company, must learn to be philosophical when dealing and commenting on internal affairs of another country because in case of anything, it’s the poor who are likely to pay the heavy price, as was the case when him and the Post News Paper through their careless utterances, inspired our people in west to riot over something they didn’t even fully understand, resulting in deaths. There’s no amount of compensation for any loss of life. A leader must always assess his words before they come out. Suppose Morgan becomes president of Zimbabwe, what would he do?
In any case, even the supposedly advice that he gave to president Robert Mugabe was not even genuine because how can you advise someone who is almost 90 years old and is visibly weak who has been president for 30 years to still run for presidency, are there no capable, educated and wise people in Zimbabwe to take over from Mugabe, among all the 13 million people of Zimbabwe? What is that which Sata expects Mugabe to do for Zimbabwe which he has not done in 30 years he has been president of that country?
In any case the people of Zimbabwe should be left to choose their leader and not Sata or any of us should tell them what to do. Personally even if I were to be asked for advice, I would advise President Mugabe to rest and the Zimbabwean people to honour him for his contribution as well as being their founding father and not to deceive him. Good friends mustn’t lie to one another.
But knowing Sata, he is giving false advice to Mugabe so that he can have a point of reference by clinging on to power if God allows him to live long. Besides that Sata thrives well in lies, but then he should realise that the practise that worked in one circumstance may not work in another. He won the elections largely because of lies, comedy and by disclosing his opponents secrets No need to continue with lies after being president and when you are even old. Zambians are worshipping you now in anticipation that you will deliver according to the promises that you gave them sir.
