Zambian President sacks minister
By PANA Mon, Jan 04, 2010
Zambian President Rupiah Banda has sacked Science, Technology and Vocational Training Minister Gabriel Namulambe with immediate effect.
According to a statement issued by special assistant to the President for Press and Public Relations, Dickson Jere, Banda did not give reasons for sacking Namulambe.
"May I take this opportunity to thank you most sincerely on behalf of the Zambian people, for the service that you have rendered to the nation during the period that you served in various portfolios in my government," Banda stated in the statement, released here Sunday evening.
Recently some people had voiced their concern over alleged tribal remarks attributed to Namulambe.
