Kidnapped baby found unharmed
By Special correspondent Tue, Feb 07, 2012
Six-month-old Kgosietsile Marobe, who was kidnapped by his nanny from his home in northern Pretoria, was found alive and well in Johannesburg.
Police found the child at a Hillbrow crèche, but babysitter Zimbabwean Lynette Moyo is still on the run.
The alleged kidnapper sent an SMS to Kgosietsile's aunt telling her to call the number. That number was then traced to the crèche.
Moyo apparently dropped the child off at the nursery school on Tuesday. According to authorities, the baby has been reunited with his mother Mita.
The nanny had been in contact with the family. She reduced her R45,000 ransom to R5,000, and later to R2,000. EYEWITNESS
