CAN 2010: Nigeria takes third place, beat Algeria 1-0
African Cup of Nations - The Super Eagles of Nigeria Saturday defeated the Angolan national team 1-0 to occupy the third position of the 27th Orange African Cup of Nations (CAN 2010) played at the 11 November Stadium, Luanda, Angola.
Victor Obinna Nsofor gave the Super Eagles the victory goal in the 56 minute of play as both teams' frantic efforts to score were effectively checked by the defence.
Ghana's Black Stars will play defending champions and six-time winners Pharaoh of Egypt to decide the winner of this year's continental tourney at the same venue.
