routes in South Africa during next year's World Cup finals to supplement SAA's c a pacity.
Zimbabwe Airline chief executive Peter Chikumba said it was likely that the Sout h African Airways would be overwhelmed by demand during the World Cup, and requi r ed to sub-contract additional capacity from other carriers.
"We have gone into discussion with our South African counterparts to see that we are allowed to operate some of their routes. It is called cabotage, and it refe r s to when an airline is permitted to operate between two points in a foreign country," he sai d.
He said Air Zimbabwe, which was operating at between 40 and 50 per cent capacity , had plenty of excess capacity to offer.
