READING, United Kingdom - A married Zimbabwean woman had a sexual relationship with a Nigerian man who was stabbed to death by her angry husband, a British court heard.

The court heard from Dorothy Haparimwi, who married Eddington Chigora (44) in Zimbabwe in 1995, who told how she was 'never happy in my marriage'.

This was said when Chigora also Zimbabwe and lives in Buttermere Avenue, Slough appeared for the start of his trial at Reading Crown Court yesterday in which he is accused of murdering a nigerian national, Omobolaji Adigun aged 41.

Adigun was said to be Dorothy's new boyfriend, in a suspected extra-marital relationship.

Adigun of Farnham Road, Slough, died after being taken to Slough police station by taxi on April 19.

He suffered four stab wounds, one of which punctured his heart.

The court heard how Chigora arrived at the police station in Windsor Road shortly afterwards and was arrested.

Prosecutor Ian Hope said: "What the prosecution say is that Chigora had a clear motive to want to do harm to Mr Adigun."

He said it was the prosecution's case that Chigora followed Mr Adigun after he left a party in Belgrave Road, to the Esso Garage in Stoke Poges Lane, where a chase ensued.

Mr Hope said the jury would hear witnesses describe seeing a man chased by another man carrying a knife along Stoke Poges Lane, before the victim jumped in front of a taxi forcing it to stop and climbed into the back where he was pursued by his attacker
