Airlines to ban H1N1 sufferers?
South Africans flying on British Airways and Virgin Airlines could be thrown off flights if they are suspected of suffering from swine flu.
Both airlines have issued strict guidelines internationally, ordering staff to remove passengers from their flights if anyone is not pronounced medically fit to travel by doctors they have on standby at airports around the world.
British Airways said it would not reimburse passengers for the cancellation and that travellers would have to claim from their travel insurance.
Virgin Airlines, however, said it would rebook passengers free once they were fit to travel.
Robyn Chalmers, SAA head of group corporate affairs, said the airline had implemented measures to prevent the transfer of the H1N1 virus on board its aircraft, in accordance with World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines. -IOL

Wife evicted over pastor affair
Sunday News reporters
THE wife of an evangelist who is alleged to be having an illicit love affair with a Church of Central African Presbyterian (CCAP) pastor was last week ejected from her family home in Luveve by her husband’s younger brother while the evangelist looked on helplessly.
The woman is alleged to be having an affair with Pastor Kingston Chipata, the head pastor of CCAP in Bulawayo, based in Sizinda.
The evangelist’s young brother, Mr Godfrey Phiri, told the Sunday News that he came all the way from Kadoma where he is a secretary in the same church as soon as he heard what had happened by members of his family. He said he had taken active interest in the case because the “victim’’ was his elder brother and he had been appointed as the family’s spokesperson. “In this case the victim is my brother (the evangelist) whose wife was stolen not the other way round,’’ he said. He said his family had instructed him to throw the woman out of the house in which they were staying as she had brought shame to their name. “Marriage is a holy sacrament that only death or sin can tear apart. She chose to destroy it by sinning with a pastor who preaches against fornication yet he is the mastermind of fornication,’’ said a visiblly angry Mr Phiri.
Mr Phiri said his brother’s wife took everything from his brother’s house and only left what she could not carry.
