Student Leaders in Court

Harare — Four student leaders accused of mobilising their colleagues to illegally demonstrate against fees being charged by institutions of higher learning last Friday appeared in court facing charges of inciting public violence.

He remanded them out of custody to August 21 this year on US$30 bail each. Prosecutor Ms Tinashe Kanyemba said on August 5 this year the four connived and urged other UZ students to assemble and incited them to demonstrate against the fees being charged, which they perceived to be beyond their reach.

They allegedly distributed T-shirts inscribed "Take charge and complete the change"
