South African President Jacob Zuma has extended condolences to government and people of Zimbabwe following the death of one of the Vice Presidents, Joseph Msika.

Msika died on Tuesday in hospital in Zimbabwe at the age of 85 after long illness.

It is reported that Zuma said Msika’s passing is indeed a painful loss not only to the Zimbabwean people but to the whole of Southern African Development Community region and the continent.

As part of the power-sharing agreement, President Robert Mugabe will be tasked with naming Mr Msika’s replacement from his Zanu-PF party.
