Delta of Zimbabwe Says Profit Surges to $33.5 Million
Delta Corp., Zimbabwe’s biggest brewer, profit for the year through March surged more than sixfold to $33.5 million.
Delta Corp., Zimbabwe’s biggest brewer, profit for the year through March surged more than sixfold to $33.5 million.
The company, which is part-owned by SABMiller Plc, said revenue more than tripled to $330.8 million, according to a presentation today.
Delta, which is based in the capital, Harare, plans capital expenditure of $56.4 million this financial year and $56.4 million in fiscal 2012.
Sales of lager beer rose 78 percent in April compared with the same month last year, Delta said today. Soft-drink sales rose 90 percent in the same period. Delta is one of two companies in Zimbabwe that owns the franchise to produce coke drinks.
