SURAT: In what is seen as a historical step for the world's biggest diamond cutting and polishing centre in Surat, the Zimbabwean government and the Surat Rough Diamond Sourcing India Limited (SRDSIL) - a company formed by 1,500 diamantaires - have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) here on Thursday for the supply of rough diamonds worth $1.2 billion per annum in exchange for training over 1,000 young talents from the African country in diamond cutting and polishing.
